The Opportunity:
An opportunity has become available for a regular AIN support, 7 days a week on Medical Ward 3 at a very well-established Healthcare organisation based in Albury. This role is a part of a small multi-disciplinary health care team that delivers patient-centred care within a well-supported environment.

The Role:

  • Provision of support to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an Acute Care and Sub Acute environment as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
  • The Assistant in Nursing works under the delegation and supervision of a RN at all times, performing patient care activities alongside registered nurses and Enrolled Nurses (EN).
  • The role may include a range of tasks such as assisting with patients daily living activities (for example personal hygiene and mobility) help maintain a safe and clean environment in the ward.
  • The Assistant in Nursing retains responsibility for own actions at all times and remains accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM)

About you:
You must have:

  • HLT32507 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent or undertaking study in Bachelor of Nursing.
  • Demonstrated empathy and proactive approach to delivering of high quality patient care
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Preparedness and capacity to work shift work and be redeployed to other clinical areas to meet hospital needs.
  • Incumbent will be required to transport and transfer patients.
