One of Australia’s finest hotel groups is looking for an experienced assistant manager to elevate its offerings and continue to deliver its renowned 5-star customer service.
Located in Sydney CBD, this 200-room heritage-listed building is unique in its design and appearance that creates an infectious energy as soon as you walk through its doors.
Working closely with the F&B Director and celebrated executive head chef, you will be responsible for executing an exceptional service offering across its award-winning restaurant and bar. The dining room and menu have been designed to feel like you are in a 1930s steakhouse in Little Italy, New York. Fresh bold flavours with plenty of theatre!
About you

This a fantastic opportunity for a career-driven hospitality professional to assist in managing one of Sydney’s finest award-winning restaurants. To be successful in this role you will need to show the following

  • Passionate about providing the highest standards of service
  • Be compliant, understanding all work-related legislations
  • Multifunctional and proactive in all aspects of your work with a hand on approach
  • Proven career progression in reputable restaurants, ideally at hatted level. Hotel experience valuable
  • Excellent verbal communication and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanour in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
  • Management of labour costs and reporting and the ability to balance high volume periods and peak service times with the team
  • Checking stock levels, ordering supplies, and implementing monthly stocktakes
  • Overseeing reservations and building relationships with regular guests
  • Confidently offering advice about menu and wine choices – great product knowledge is essential
  • Liaise with the kitchen regarding menus, events daily run-sheets and service
