The Role
Seeking to appoint an engaged and reliable Catering Assistant at our Bateau Bay Aged Care Residence!
Working across 3 main dining areas; you’ll be helping provide our residents with the best possible dining experience and making a real difference.
Public transport accessible.
Staff parking on site.
Hours: Various days and hours
Rate: $22.77 + allowances + applicable penalties
What This Role Involves:
- Assisting with food preparation
- Customer service – serving our residents meals and snacks
- Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
- Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
- Fast, effective service throughout busy periods – with a good attitude
- Assisting the broader team as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
- Valid Drivers License is a huge advantage
- Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
Please Note:
As a result of revised standards around health & well-being in the aged care industry, all applicants must have a current year flu vaccination and be able to provide proof of the COVID vaccination. Candidates will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
