The role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook who work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef. 
You will be responsible for the day-to-day cooking of breakfast for aged care residents whilst ensuring a safe working environment and adhering to safe food practice’s. Working with a close knit team, you will be a key player in providing quality meals to residents.

What your typical day will look like:

  • Preparing and presenting food for our residents – including texture modified foods
  • Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking 
  • Maintaining a clean working environment
  • Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
  • Providing fast, effective service with a positive attitude

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in kitchens and food preparation
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (advantageous)
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (advantage)
  • Previous experience in aged care or catering (advantageous)
