Collar Group has a national agreement and is partnering with one of Australia’s largest Catering, Hospitality & Accommodation providers to supply their Urban sites.

We are searching for talented Chef Managers who are wanting to take their career to that next level and join this award-winning employer of choice who will provide in-house training and support to take your career to the next level.

For thousands living in Aged Care facilities across Australia, a hot meal is an essential comfort. Collar Group has a number of sites in Western Australia for permanent Chef Managers to join. If it’s smaller facilities you are after where cooking for 30 residents or larger facilities that you enjoy working on we can help you find that match! We stick by you throughout the whole process.

We are currently on the hunt for passionate Chef Managers. You’ll be at the forefront of the day-to-day preparations of menu planning, and you’ll be the key to providing high-quality and nutritious food to all residents, staff, and visitors.

What this role involves:

  • Dual responsibilities in food preparation/presentation and site management
  • Overall cost management with a focus on food and labour costs
  • Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, texture modified, purees, etc.)
  • Stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking
  • Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintaining legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
  • Fast, effective service provided with a smile
  • Demonstrable team management, development, and leadership
  • Assisting the broader team as required
  • Menu development for seasonal changes
  • Experience with managing labour, food & operational costs (strong budgeting skills would be an advantage)
  • Previous experience in total kitchen operations and site relief management in an aged care (or similar) environment
  • Working as an effective team leader by maintaining a positive attitude, respect, and communication with all members of the Catering team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging & time-sensitive environment
  • Impeccable, genuine, friendly & professional customer service

What we require from you:

  • Certificate III (or similar) in Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety Certification (mandatory)
    Flu Vaccination (Current)
  • Covid-19 Vaccinated
  • NDIS Work Screening Check
  • National Police Clearance
