The Role:
As a Chef Manager, you will play a crucial role in guiding and inspiring the team to deliver exceptional service for up to 90 highly valued aged care residents. You will be working in our traditional kitchen, where you’ll have the opportunity to display your culinary skills in cooking delicious, homestyle meals. 

Public transport and street parking available for your convenience.

Roster: Mon -Fri 6.30am – 3.30pm (with a view to swap with the evening chef at times to be across dinner service (9.30am – 6.00pm)

Show me the Money: $80K plus super

What This Role Involves:

  • Dual responsibilities in food preparation / presentation and site management
  • Overall cost management with a focus on food and labour costs
  • Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking 
  • Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
  • Demonstrable team management, development & leadership
  • Assisting the broader team as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Trade Qualified Chef
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable but not necessary)
  • Experience with managing labour, food & operational costs 
  • Previous experience in operating kitchens and/or site management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene

Please Note:
As a result of revised standards around health & well-being in the aged care industry, all applicants must have a current year flu vaccination and be able to provide proof of the COVID vaccination. Candidates will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
