Collar Group is seeking an experienced Aged Care Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide clinical leadership, and case management, as well as provide holistic care to residents in our client’s leading not-for-profit 190-bed Residential Aged Care facility in Western Sydney

What will you be doing?

Use your extensive clinical nursing experience to support the Care Manager in overseeing the day-to-day provision of clinical care. This includes the oversight and education of staff to ensure that all resident care, assessment, and documentation requirements are met and that quality care services are provided to meet the daily needs of all residents and their families.

What will need to succeed?

  • Full unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Familiar with the Aged Care Act 1997 and the Documentation and Accountability Manual (DAM)
  • Knowledge and demonstrated commitment to Quality and Aged Care Standards
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument
  • Affinity and experience (or willingness to gain experience) working with residents with dementia.
  • Genuine regard for aged persons and an understanding of their needs
  • Strong clinical governance, assessment, and documentation skills
  • Team Leader/ Supervisor/ Learning and development (nurse educator) experience
  • Well-developed communication, organisational skills, and the ability to determine work priorities.
  • Previous experience in providing education including in-service, and staff orientation.
