Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in commercial fit-outs and interior renovations to some of the country’s largest store chains across Australia and New Zealand. They are looking for somebody to grow and develop with the company as they have a variety of projects on the horizon across a variety of industries including
Retail, Fitness, Hospitality, Medical, Wellness & Beauty, Office and Display Suites.

Position: CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of fit-out projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Working between day shifts & night shifts.
  • Supervise and lead a team of skilled workers, providing guidance, support, and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify and address any potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation and alignment with client requirements.
  • Manage material procurement, inventory, and delivery schedules to optimize project efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement strategies for cost control, risk management, and quality improvement.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Site Manager (2 years + minimum) specifically in fit-out projects within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Sound understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in construction or project management are desirable.
