Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in commercial fit-outs and interior renovations to some of the country’s largest store chains across Australia and New Zealand. Retail, Fitness, Hospitality, Medical, Wellness & Beauty, Office and Display Suites.
Position: CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of fit-out projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards.
- Working between day shifts & night shifts.
- Supervise and lead a team of skilled workers, providing guidance, support, and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify and address any potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation and alignment with client requirements.
- Manage material procurement, inventory, and delivery schedules to optimize project efficiency and minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement strategies for cost control, risk management, and quality improvement.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Site Manager (2 years + minimum) specifically in fit-out projects within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Sound understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in construction or project management are desirable.
