Our client a small family style aged care facility is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our dedicated team. This unique position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of our residents by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment while also preparing delicious and nutritious meals.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals that meet the dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.
• Plan menus in collaboration with the nutritionist and accommodate special dietary needs.
• Follow standardized recipes and ensure high-quality food presentation.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cook in an aged care or healthcare setting is highly desirable..
• Culinary experience with a focus on preparing nutritious meals for a diverse population.
• Understanding of dietary requirements and restrictions commonly associated with aging and health conditions.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• NDIS Clearance / Police Check / COVID Vaccinations
• Ability to start within the next 7 days
