Our client is currently recruiting a Finance Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company proud to have won employer of the year 2022. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Entering annual budgets into MYOB company file
  • Prepare and enter end-of-year and month journals
  • Prepare monthly financial documents
  • Monitoring incoming and outgoing cash flow
  • Creating invoices for customers on a timely basis, filing copies as per documented procedures
  • Entering data into customer accounting systems
  • Record customer payments and prepare daily banking
  • Issue customer statements on a monthly basis
  • Prepare Figures for quarterly business activity statement – Fuel tax credit, GST Paid, GST Collected, IAS and Income tax
  • Ensure account statements are sent to all clients with an outstanding balance at least once a month
  • Reconcile all bank & loan accounts on a regular basis
  • Maintain payroll related records for all employees
  • Process employee pays, paying electronically into employee accounts
  • Reconcile and make monthly PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation payments
  • Reconcile and prepare payment summaries at end of year
  • Process end-of-year payroll in MYOB
  • Set up creditors and vendors
  • Support continuous improvement and process requirement activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement and change management activities
  • Collate supplier invoices into weekly payment runs, streamlining payment processes wherever possible.
  • Ensure all supplier bills are appropriately authorised for payment – matching purchase orders to bill, and process payments when authorised
  • Record supplier bills and payments in MYOB coding to appropriate accounts
