Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty (HD) Fitter to join our team. As an HD Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders. You will also perform preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance and repair work on heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and repair or replace defective parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing oil and filters, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting equipment for wear and tear.
• Use diagnostic tools such as electronic testing equipment to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Document all maintenance and repair work performed on equipment.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as required.
Requirements:
• Completion of a Heavy Duty Fitter apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation.
