Collar Group are currently seeking Head Chefs, Chefs, Catering Managers and Catering Assistants full time positions at the University of Newcastle. Multiply potions available 
 
What the Head Chef/Chef role involves:

  • Ability to produce high quality meals in line with HACCP guidelines and quality assurance 
  • Assisting with menu planning
  • Assist with putting away deliveries and general kitchen set-up and close down 
  • Ensuring a safe working environment 
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HACCP
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, ensuring the correct uniform is worn

What the Catering Manager and Catering Assistant role involves:

  • Working within the kitchen areas being responsible for the successful provision of food service
  • Comply with all relevant food safety legislations on a daily basis
  • Provide food that is wholesome, nutritious, well-presented and appropriately served
  • Maintaining dietary needs during meal preparation for residents
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, ensuring the correct uniform is worn
  • Observe all statutory health and hygiene regulations and report any hazards you encounter

You will need:

  • Previous experience within Hospitals  – advantageous 
  • A National Police Clearance 
  • Cert 3 – Commercial Cookery for Chefs
  • Ability to work within a team or unsupervised
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have reliable transport to get to and from sites
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
