What is the Role?
We’re growing… and FAST! This is a super exciting time for Collar Group as we expand our operations across Australia. We need an experienced and motivated Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to support the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and wellbeing programs within our NSW business. Reporting to the Director of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for providing advice, guidance, and support to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing employee wellbeing through the development and implementation of wellbeing initiatives.

 This role includes, but isn’t limited to:

  • Support the Director of Health and Safety in the implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing strategies.
  • Assist in the development and review of health, safety, and wellbeing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and wellbeing matters to employees and managers.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support with early intervention, injury management and return to work activities.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance employee awareness and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health, safety, and wellbeing activities.
  • Support the implementation of wellbeing initiatives, including mental health awareness campaigns, wellness programs, and work-life balance initiatives.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and industry associations, to stay updated on best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of health, safety, and wellbeing processes and systems.

What Experience do you need?
We’re looking for a passionate Health, Safety & Wellbeing expert with a genuine passion for people, strong interpersonal skills, a positive “can-do” attitude, a high attention-to-detail, and a strong drive to make a difference to the organisation.

Qualifications and Related Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health, safety, or wellbeing role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health, safety, and wellbeing regulations and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skill & Abilities:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software.
