We are currently seeking skilled Maintenance Officers to join a reputable and well-established residential aged care provider. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, grounds, plant, and equipment.

MAIN DUTIES

• Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive maintenance program for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements for preventative maintenance and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities performed.
• Manage the asset register and conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to refurbishment, equipment replacement, and capital works planning.
• Oversee maintenance supplier contracts, including selection, supervision, and evaluation.
• Uphold occupational health and safety and equal employment opportunity principles.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist with any other duties as assigned by the management team.

REQUIREMENTS 
Candidates will be required to undergo a National Criminal Record Check as part of our commitment to safety and quality care.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong liaison skills with external service providers and stakeholders.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Officer in aged care or a healthcare environment.
• Trade qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
• Proficiency in general maintenance skills, including painting, plastering, equipment repairs, minor plumbing, minor electrical repairs, gardening, etc.
• Experience in coordinating and organizing tradesmen.
