Our client is seeking experienced maintenance officer, to proactively maintain the village to ensure the highest possible standards of repair, presentation and safety, and to provide an exceptional standard of personalised customer service for the benefit of residents.

The Role 

  • Management of routine schedules and providing a range of general property repairs and maintenance services for the sites buildings, equipment and grounds;
  • Maintenance of exterior presentation, including buildings, windows, pathways, BBQ areas, outdoor furniture, and disposal of waste; 
  • Ensure cleaning and presentation of the pool and that pumps and filtration systems are operating correctly
  • Administration of property services electronic databases, registers and reporting systems; monitoring maintenance budget expenditure.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably possessing a certificate in building work such as carpentry or joinery
  • The ability and competency to use a wide range of equipment and tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) appropriate to work within a culturally diverse aged care environment
  • Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise competing tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to use a computer and relevant software
  • Hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate (Including CPR) and Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care, or willingness to acquire.
  • • Valid Australian work rights/visa
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Current Covid-19 Vaccinations
