NUM – Perioperative

Collar Group Medical Team is  seeking a Nurse Unit Manger –Scrub/Scout to join a beautiful Hospital on a Permanent Full-Time basis at a Hospital based in North Melbourne. The NUM Operating Theatres role is responsible for the clinical management and leadership of our Operating Theatres, Recovery, CSSD department and Pre-Admission Clinic.

We seeking professional Nurse manager with a drive and commitment to high standards of care for patients who are friendly and have an enduring personality. 

Great! What do I need to get started?

• Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
• At least 5 years’ experience in a perioperative scrub/scout setting
• Experience in the leadership and management of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical expertise and passion for delivering high quality patient care
• Commitment to enabling a culture of continuous improvement

 
As a Nurse Unit Manager, your duties will include:

• Providing operational direction for the Operating Theatre unit to ensure efficient and effective management
• Coordinate the delivery of safe, efficient and effect evidenced based nursing care
• Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring and support to your nursing team
• Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
• Have a working knowledge of flexible rosters, budgets and key performance indicators
• Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
• Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.

Desirable:

• Post graduate qualification in relevant field of specialty or working toward
• Post-graduate qualifications in Leadership and Management
