The role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook who work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day cooking for aged care residents whilst ensuring a safe working environment and adhering to safe food practice’s. Working with a close knit team, you will be a key player in providing quality meals to residents.
What your typical day will look like:
- Preparing and presenting food for our residents – including texture modified foods
- Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
- Maintaining a clean working environment
- Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
- Providing fast, effective service with a positive attitude
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in kitchens and food preparation
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (advantageous)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (advantage)
- Previous experience in aged care or catering (advantageous)
