Permanent FIFO Chef – TAS

Collar Group has secured ongoing contracts with leading Mining and Hospitality companies to source talented Chefs who are wanting to take their career to that next level.

We are currently on the hunt for passionate experienced Chefs to work at a variety of remote and local locations across Tasmania. You’ll be at the forefront of the day-to-day preparations of menu planning, and you’ll be the key to providing high-quality and nutritious food to all employees and visitors

This is an exciting and rewarding field of work with real benefits. You will have the opportunity to work in all aspects of food preparation from breakfasts, crib, dinner, and site events/functions. About you:

• Ability to commence as soon as your medical is completed
• Site inductions are highly advantageous (Rio Tinto, FMG and BHP)
• Be able to pass a pre-employment medical
• Drug screen every 28 days
• Bulk cooking and breakfast experience
• 6+ months FIFO experience 
• Certificate III Commercial Cookery or equivalent to
• Current Police Check – within 6 months
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable)
• Covid-19 Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)

With all roles, you’ll need the ability to work well under pressure, have strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities, together with outstanding attention to detail.
