Our Client is seeking a talented and experienced Power Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable and efficient delivery of electricity to our clients and will contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions to address the challenges of the evolving energy landscape.
About the role:
- Design and analyze power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, considering factors such as load flow, short-circuit analysis, voltage stability, and protection coordination.
- Develop and implement power system models and simulations using industry-standard software tools.
- Conduct feasibility studies, performance assessments, and risk analyses for power system projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on power system design, equipment selection, and system performance optimization.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges during project implementation.
- Perform system-wide studies to assess the impact of renewable energy integration, energy storage systems, and other emerging technologies.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to power systems engineering.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in power systems engineering, preferably in the energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, ETAP, or DigSILENT PowerFactory.
- Familiarity with power system modeling, load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination.
- Experience in renewable energy integration, energy storage systems, or microgrid design is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB or Python for power system analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
