Founded in 2004, our client is on an exciting journey to be the biggest small fire agency in Australia! They have recently decided to expand, and have a great opportunity for a driven Projects Engineer to join a fantastic team. THE ROLE

The primary focus of the Project Engineer is to schedule, plan, design, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. 

Your main duties would include (but are not limited to);

  • Assist with on-site management to ensure project success.
  • Ensure the project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines.
  • Responsible for RFI and submittal process.
  • Processes owner billings and project-related accounting issues.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritising those tasks’ completion.

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • FULL Australian working rights – Visa’s NOT accepted;
  • MUST BE located in NSW;
  • Obtain a NSW Driver’s license;
  • 1 – 3 years of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager;
  • Experience within the Fire Protection industry;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of construction field rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards;
  • Strong project management and supervision skills;
  • Ability to work in an office environment as well as in the field as requested;
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD.
