We are working with a client who is a softwood sawmiller based in the South West region of WA who require a Senior Safety Advisor for a permanent position located in Dardanup.
- Permanent position
- Located in Dardanup (15 minute drive from Bunbury)
- $130k base salary + superannuation + 10% incentive scheme
- Compressed 9 day fortnight option available
Key responsibilities:
- Compilation and publication of weekly and monthly reports
- Maintaining all site safety statistics up to date
- Ensure the Safety Management Plan is in accordance with the WA WHS Act & Regulations, shareholder expectations and best industry practice
- Provision of relevant safety advice to department supervisors and managers
- Identify improvements in the safety reporting system
- Delivery of site inductions and safety awareness programs to employees
Experience required:
- Tertiary qualification or Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety
- Occupational First Aid Certificate
- Proven experience in an operational environment
- Sound understanding of the Western Australian WHS Act and Regulations
- Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office suite and safety data management systems
