The Role:

We are looking for full-time Sous Chef to join a supportive team to deliver outstanding service within an aged care environment. If you are ready for your next career move, click apply!

What This Role Involves:

  • Preparation and  cooking of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
  • Working with a great team of enthusiastic people
  • Adherence to strict dietary requirements (allergies etc.)
  • Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking 
  • Maintenance of a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
  • Maintaining legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
  • Fast, efficient service provided with a smile
  • You’ll work with a great team of people 
  • Assisting the broader team as required
  • Demonstrate a strong safety culture aligned with the Cater Care Safety Commitments

The Ideal Applicant will have:

  • Certificate III (or similar) in Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety Certification (highly desirable)
  • Experience working in kitchens and food preparation, including bulk cooking experience
  • Ability to work well with other team members
  • A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
  • Motivation, enthusiasm and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • A valid Working with Children (Blue) Card (can be done as part of the application process)
