Trade Assistant

Pay rate – $32 – $35 + penalties.

Requirements:
• Min. 5 years of experience
• Mechanical/hydraulic and/or electrical knowledge and experience (e.g. Trade
Assistant)
• Previous fixed plant mechanical or hydraulics experience an advantage
• Preservation and maintenance experience an advantage
• Hands-on tooling experience (hand tooling and power tooling)
• The ability to safely use all kinds of tooling
• Attention to detail when performing the work
• Good communication skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Computer literate
• The ability to perform ongoing medium to high physical work
• Valid forklift ticket
• Desirable: working at heights, dogman, rigging, first aid
• Valid driving license, Class C

Responsibilities:
• Perform inspection activities to identify faults and deficiencies
• Perform preservation, maintenance and repair activities
• Take ownership of their own quality of work
• Take ownership of their own HSE behaviour and assessments
