Underground Electrician

Collar Group have teamed up with an Australia-wide electrical contractor, and we are currently looking for underground electricians to join this team on a permanent basis.

About the role:
You will be working closely with a supportive team you will be responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance and statutory testing of surface and underground electrical infrastructure and equipment including but not limited to: switchboards, HV and LV supply cables, ventilation systems, communication systems and pumping systems etc you will perform and supervise a wide range of work including surface infrastructure, underground infrastructure, water supply, communications and high voltage transmission.

No underground mining experience is necessary. 
 
Roster:

• 8:6 / 7:7 – rotating days & nights or
• 2/2 roster – rotating days & nights 
• Various mine sites throughout WA

Essential Criteria:

• A current WA Electrical Workers Licence
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Working at heights
• Current Police Clearance (no less than 3 months old)
• Current Senior First Aid / LV/CPR Rescue
• Double covid vaccination with a booster as required
• You will be required to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen

Desirable:  

• High-Risk Licence with EWP endorsement
• HV switching ticket (highly desirable)
• Underground Mining Experience
