This beautiful venue is situated in the heart of the CBD in one of Sydney’s most historic buildings. It’s a little oasis where you get to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Serving beautiful breakfasts, lunches, and an array of carefully selected beverages.

With 10 venues in the business and continuous plans for growth, you will be entering a hospitality group that is well-established in Sydney. All the venues have individuality and unique personalities. The owners have a track record for delivering exceptional customer experiences in stunning venues and locations.

The Role
This elegant venue is looking for a venue/restaurant manager to take ownership and be the face of the venue. Reporting directly to the group operations manager, you will be responsible for delivering high standards and expectations that are set across the business. To be successful in this role you will need to show the following.

  • Hands-on management style, leading by example and being proactive in all aspects of your work
  • Maintain and build customer relationships
  • A detailed focus on staff culture, recruitment and training
  • Excellent attention to detail, passionate about customer service
  • A thorough understanding of financial reporting and budgets
  • Knowledgeable on all BOH systems and procedures. Rostering, compliance etc
  • Forward thinking, an ideas person who can drive the business, brand and values

About you

  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar management role
  • Proven leadership experience in a paced fast-paced environment – with focuses on building teams and driving a high level of service – the wow factor!
  • Exemplary presentation in grooming, presentation & manner
  • A willingness to learn as much as you teach
  • Customer service focus
  • Excellent communication skills with a great command of spoken and written English
  • The ability to operationally lead and motivate a large dynamic team, retain and train staff and maintain a happy work environment.
