The roles:

Our client is seeking experienced Weekend Chefs for multiple Aged Care facilities:

Mayfield (108 bed facility) – Saturday + Sunday 6.30am-3pm
Elermore Vale (38 bed facility) – Saturday + Sunday 8am-4.30pm
Groves House – (60 bed facility) – Saturday + Sunday 8.30am-5pm

You will be responsible for accommodating the residents providing high quality, delicious meals. You will be able to showcase your culinary skills working with the kitchen team to ensure residents are well catered for. 

What your typical day will look like:

  • Preparing and presenting food for our residents – including texture modified foods through tray service 
  • Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking 
  • Maintaining a clean working environment
  • Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
  • Providing fast, effective service with a positive attitude

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in kitchens and food preparation
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (advantage)
  • Previous experience in aged care or catering is an advantage
