Role Overview:
As an Operations Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting residential aged care facilities to achieve and maintain the highest standards of care and operational efficiency. You will work closely with care teams and management to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement strategies, and ensure that each facility is aligned with the latest aged care regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular operational assessments of residential aged care facilities.
- Provide guidance and support on best practices for achieving compliance with Australian Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with facility management and staff to implement tailored solutions that align with both regulatory requirements and organisational goals.
- Monitor and review outcomes of implemented improvements, ensuring sustainable, long-term results.
- Advise on risk management strategies and incident management protocols to ensure resident safety.
- Assist facilities in preparing for accreditation and quality audits.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in aged care regulations and industry trends to provide expert guidance.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current Australian Nursing Registration (AHPRA) .
- Proven experience in a clinical or operational leadership role within a residential aged care environment.
- Strong understanding of Australian Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives in healthcare settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire teams at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Ability to travel to different locations as needed.
